 1. How notes are named on the keyboard. 2. How to visualize the keyboard for practical and compositional purposes. 3. What intervals are and what the various types of scales are (major, minor, modal). 4. How to measure various intervals and play them starting on any note. 5. How to play and use scales from any starting note. 6. What MIDI is. 7. How to create melodies, including bass lines. 8. How to identify tonal qualities and intervals by ear.

One of the main players in the Modern Funk Movement, B. Bravo will give a workshop on how he incorporates keyboards and synths into his production and live shows. Piranha Piranha - Free Workshop and Q&A

Piranha Piranha is the production duo of djs/artists Dan Solo & Mr Geography. Currently holding down two smashingly successful weekly residences in Calgary, Modern Math and Northern Lights, these two young selectors have been instrumental in transforming their city’s club & bass culture into one of North America’s finest. Their productions are being supported by the likes of Sub Swara, RSD, Drop the Lime, Bun Zer0 and Daega Sound, and they have shared the stage with artists such as Skream, Rusko, Diplo, Breakage, Scuba and more.

Since 2008 these two have been bringing their eclectic musical style to stages all around Alberta and British Columbia, including performances at Shambhala and Bass Coast Project 2010. You can expect diverse sets from these two, everything from classic dubstep to jungle to uk funky; garage to techno to dancehall to hip hop. They are currently working on the launch of their own record label, Modern Math Recordings.
