Along with working on his side project "Mr Elastic", Mitch loves that Beat Drop gets to pull the curtains back on the secrets of modern day production and is allowed to mentor the next gen of laptop producers.
Rick Cruz aka DJ C-Sik is the 2014 Canadian Redbull Thre3style Champ, 2 time Redbull Thre3style Regional winner, a 3-time Calgary DMC champ and is one of Alberta's most sought after hip-hop, R&B and party rockin' DJs. With over 15 years of experience behind the decks, he's your guy if you are looking to get into hip-hop, turntablism or funk. He can also help you learn some advanced mixing techniques or a couple of new scratches to give your set that extra flavour.
Dan Murray aka GSD has been involved in Calgary's DJing & electronic music community since 1997. Starting out as a teenaged battle DJ, he was known as a purveyor of Disco & Boogie in the city, which led to him serving as the label manager for Homebreakin Records/Punchout Recordings from 2008 until 2013. He has been a staple at Calgary clubs, holding down residencies at The Hifi Club, Commonwealth & Bamboo among others.
Releases on over twenty labels such as Toolroom, Baroque, Audio Therapy, Perfecto, Black Hole, Armada, Warner Music, Vicious, Virgin and EMI, Tim has firmly established himself as a global EDM producer and engineer. Not one to keep all his secrets under his cap, Timothy is Beat Drop's Mixing and Mastering instructor and enjoys sharing his expertise. These production methods are put in to practice every day at The Mixplant, a mixing/mastering facility focused on electronic music where Tim is the head engineer.
Jeremy “Sinistarr” Howard is a DJ and producer born and raised from Detroit, Michigan, now residing in Calgary. His career making and playing various genres of electronic music has seen him headline clubs and festivals across the US, Canada and Europe for nearly a decade, and his music has been heard on BBC Radio 1, BBC 1XTRA, and as a guest on Serato’s Seratocast mix series. He also holds a DJ residency in Denver, Colorado with the Recon DnB crew, playing alongside many of his fellow international artists in the electronic music scene.

Enoque is a musician, composer, producer, and dj. He has 30 years of experience with bands and groups in a variety of genre's; from heavy metal to country and most of every thing else in between. His electronic aliases are, Enno Karr, Bread N Butta and a new moniker, One Less Of Them, debuting an EP in 2016 through Substation Recordings. He has released works through Dansant Records in Sweden, and continues to release with Substation Recordings, as well as other albums you might find hidden on the interweb. Isaac Cotec started producing electronic based music in 2005, while working on a project called Psyche Sonics. Psyche Sonics was an experimental group working with the science and research of binaural beats, and altering consciousness through sounds. The project manifested as a musical art installation that traveled the West Coast of the United States in a large yurt. After touring Isaac Cotec continued writing music under the alias Cotec and later emerged as the artist Subaqueous. As Subaqueous, he blends his electronic past with future and past organic production techniques and, to date, has released 5 albums and 6 EP's. Through Subaqueousmusic.com he began sharing his knowledge and give away instruments he built for his own music. His website now hosts complex MIDI packs, free Ableton Live resources, articles on production techniques, and more. Isaac Cotec is the founder and manager of the record label Invibe Music. Invibe represents some of the Pacific Northwest’s best electronic music and specializes in midtempo dance music.
Brandon Smith is a Calgary based musician, synth programmer and avid student of keyboard history. His love of vintage equipment and history eventually led him to work for the National Music Centre in Calgary, where he demonstrates many of their instruments and artifacts (including a world class collection of synthesizers) for the public.
Big Drew is well known as a Calgary Radio host and host for Calgary's major entertainment events. Drew's passion for developing special initiatives with Beat Drop into the corporate sectors enables Drew to take Beat Drop where it has never been before.
Amie takes the operations end of Beat Drop and makes it look easy. Her giftedness as an administrator and overall operation director enables Beat Drop to function at a high level. Amie helps give vision to the school and then with grace and efficiency takes the steps needed to make it happen.
Scott brings a wealth of knowledge from the Education and Professional Development worlds. His background in music helps grow our staff and instructors to understand what it means to communicate so students can truly understand the technical as well as the philosophical sides of creating and performing music.
Mark Cruz aka DJ Fatrok is a founding member of the Suns Of Boey Crew. Spinning in clubs since the early 2000's Fatrok has opened for acts such as Jazzy Jeff, Afrika Bambaataa, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, DJ Nu-Mark just to name a few. Mark has competed in the Canadian DMC's and has facilitated DJ workshops for youth at risk for the past 2 years. Fatrok is also an amazing producer currently producing and performing with YYC's Jocelyn Alice.
Paul Brooks is involved in various facets of the music industry including performing, teaching, broadcasting and communications consulting. Aside from his work with Bass Coast Music Festival, Paul programs two radio shows on CJSW 90.9 FM: Instant Gratification: Revoked! and What Will the Neighbours Think?
Brynn Collingridge aka DJ Heebz is a new staple in Calgary’s DJ scene. While currently dj’ing at Commonwealth, Hifi and in Banff, he was also a national finalist in the 2014 Red Bull Thre3style competition. Having 7 year’s of experience at a variety of Calgary hot spots, he is no doubt one of Canada’s most versatile DJ’s. Together, with Ivan Rankic, they make up Hej Zeus and they are producing remixes and edits being played by DJ’s all over.
